Can you help someone overcome their fear of public transport?

A young lady has asked if we could help her to overcome her anxiety of going on public transport, by way of support. She lives quite close to the town centre and is able to walk into town, so she doesn’t necessarily need to go on public transport until more recently. She contacted us to talk about volunteering opportunities and expressed an interest in giving her time to a project in the Lower Pilsley area, which is a stumbling block as she will need to go on the bus. She explained that she feels really insecure on a bus, as she says ‘people are looking at her or talking about her’.

We would like to help this lady to branch out further by providing support over a short period of time to help her overcome her fears of accessing public transport. If you feel you can help, please get in touch we would love to hear from you.

Tel: 01246 276 777 or just call in.

Thank you for giving this your consideration.
